Looking Back on 2011

I love working on goals and doing vision boards, etc. but when I look back on what I did accomplish this past year….. hmmm.   I know, we can be hard on ourselves and look at what we didn’t do as opposed to what we did do.   I did achieve a few of my goals though, I travelled to Costa Rica with some members of my family, went away with a friend for a weekend to Windsor Casino and went to Ottawa for a combined business and pleasure trip.

I really wanted to work on my garage and transform it into a studio type of sacred goddess space.  I can see myself in this space with a group of like minded individuals doing all kinds of fun things.  It needs a new floor which is quite challenging as I have received conflicting advice on what to do from friends and family.  It is a cement floor that has been laid in pieces and it has moved so it is uneven. Ugh!!   I have a number of photos showing the process and progress to date which I will post soon so make sure you stay tuned.

But instead, I had to replace my front porch and I couldn’t just do that without fixing up my driveway and sidewalk which was all cracked and in rough shape.  I now have a nice cedar porch and a double driveway with a cute sidewalk and some stamped concrete.   So that is where my money and my attention went.  Now, I am working hard at my new goal of trying to pay it off.

I may not have met all of the actual goals that I had set for myself this past year but other things became important and came forward which were equally rewarding and amazing.  I found that I took risks and challenged myself and I am very excited about what is still to come.  Life is good!!

These are just some of my personal  goals that I am thinking about for 2012:

          Work on some sewing projects

Trip away in Feb or March for one week

          Daily meditation, journaling and yoga

walking a few times a week

renovations in my home…..take down a wall or two to open up my space

work on my goddess garage/studio and make it a living space

spend time with my family and friends

What are you thinking about for 2012? Oh the possibilities!!!

  1. Sounded like I might have written your posting. I renovated the bathroom, and will now set the goal of getting it paid off. I love the idea of creating a beautiful space in the garage. Mine is full of nothing but junk, some of it isn't even mine.I also want to spend alot more time in my sorely neglected yard.I think with Walmart off the table, I can spend quality time around the house.
