De-Cluttering Your Life at Family Service Thames Valley – Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. 125 Woodward Ave., London, ON
De-cluttering your life has to do with slowing down and really evaluating what is working and what isn’t working in your life. Think about the things that are working well and continue to build on them. Are there some things you feel you can’t change? What can you change? Sometimes all it takes is looking at something from a different point of view. Are there things in your life that overwhelm you? What can you do to change that? Are there things that you can avoid altogether? What are the areas or things in your life that you can control? You get to make these decisions and choose where you put your energy.
Do you strive to have balance in your life? It might be helpful to think about the different areas of your life. How are your relationships with others, family and friends, finances, work or career or just feeling like you are being productive, physical health, emotional health, self care, personal growth and spiritual? If there is something that is out of balance in your life that can be the area that you need to focus on.
Sometimes letting go of the emotional clutter in our lives, anger, sadness, hurt, guilt, resentment and fear are harder than letting go of that old tattered chair or the clothes we have outgrown. Emotional clutter as well as physical clutter takes up space in our lives and prevents us from moving forward.
How do you deal with the clutter in your life?
