The Charge of the Goddess

“And you who seek to know Me, know that the seeking and yearning will avail you not, unless you know the Mystery: for if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.”

I just love this quote which is from  “The Charge of the Goddess”  We live in such a cluttered world, there is so much going on that it is sometimes hard to focus and think about what is important.   We are always looking outside ourselves to try to satisfy some craving, hunger for something else.  Something that is going to make us feel better, look better, have more, you get my drift.   But what if we could realize that we already have everything that we need and it is inside, we don’t have to look outward for this satisfaction.  I think meditation helps with this as we are focused back to our breathing and aware of “this present moment”.

I guess it is all about trusting in ourselves, our intuition and in the Universe.  If you can be comfortable in your own skin then it doesn’t matter where you are, whats going on or that you are being entertained in some way.  We can be okay just riding through the waves of life!!

For behold, I have been with you from the beginning, and I am that which is attained at the end of desire” (Poem version by Starhawk)

Thanks so much Sarah!! I really appreciate your comment. I have been re-posting some of my earlier blog posts and some of them are a little, well you know, could be better. I do feel there have been improvements since then though.
