“I release the old and make way for the new” That is the message I received at the Winter Solstice Ritual I facilitated this past week at my work place. This message is so fitting for all of us at this time of year. It is a really great time to take stock and really look at where we have been and where we are going. I love this time of year and love to start thinking about my goals for the year coming up.
I love doing vision boards and working on goals with friends. I also get to work with clients to help them with their goals which is pretty darn awesome as well. If you have been following my blog posts you may have read my goals from last year which I started half way through the year. I actually accomplished quite a lot of them as well as a few things that weren’t on the list but became important over the course of the year. I really believe that the more work you do in this area and the more you revisit the more success you will have. Here is the link and I was totally inspired by Leonie Dawson’s 2013 CREATE YOUR AMAZING YEAR WORKBOOKS & CALENDARS: LIFE + BUSINESS EDITIONS!
So, I am currently working through this workbook and starting off with some questions looking back on the year 2013. Questions like “What beautiful lessons did I learn in 2013?”and “What dreams came true for me?” and some open ended questions like “This year I was able to let go of…” , “I was transformed this year by…” and “I am proud of myself for……”. These are not easy questions but it is amazing when you really focus on them and see what comes up for you. You will be amazed at what you have done.
I am getting geared up for 2014. I started a book to do this work and I am thinking of it as my “Idea Book”. I tend to get a lot of inspirations after my early morning yoga practice and meditation so this is a good place to get those great ideas down. I just finished my “page of gratitude for 2013 and will soon be ready to look towards my goals and plans for 2014. What ways do you get ready for the New Year? Do you have plans for new goals? Do you want to join me?
